Real Big Sur engagement and proposal photography — every shot captured along the California coastBig Sur Engagement & Proposal Photos
Every proposal in this portfolio was a real, unrehearsed moment — captured along the coastlines of Carmel by the Sea, Big Sur, and Monterey. From intimate cliffside proposals with scattered rose petals to full floral setups with 1,000+ live roses and cold sparklers, each session reflects the couple's personality and the natural beauty of the California coast.
These aren't staged shoots. Every photo you see here was taken during an actual surprise proposal — which means the emotions, the tears, the laughter, and the shock are completely genuine. As a photographer who specializes exclusively in proposals, Christian is positioned and ready before your partner ever rounds the corner, ensuring every split-second reaction is captured from the right angle.
Proposal Video Portfolio
Video captures what photos can't — the tremble in your voice, the exact words you said, the sound of "yes." These proposal videos were filmed in 4K from two angles simultaneously, with wireless audio recording the moment as it happened.
A stunning 3-minute cinematic highlight film of your photo session, plus a separate full video capturing the proposal moment itself — the reaction, the tears, every word. Relive the most important moment of your relationship, forever.
